Antabuse (Disulfiram) may be described as a white to off – white, odorless and an almost tasteless powder. This medication dissolves in water to the extent of about 20mg in 100ml and in alcohol to the extent of about 3.8mg in 100ml.

Antabuse - overdose
In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.
Antabuse - notes
If you conceive whilst on a course with this medication inform your doctor immediately.
If you need to undergo any kind of surgery, inform your doctor you are taking this medicine.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to conceive.
Do not drink alcohol whilst on a course with this medication and for 2 weeks after you stop taking disulfiram.
Do not treat yourself with OTC medication whilst on a course with this medication, without consulting with your health care professional.
Avoid inhaling paint fumes and products that contain organic solvents.

How to storage Antabuse?
Store at room temperature between 25 degrees C / 77 degrees F, away from heat and moisture.
Precautions while taking Antabuse.
Do not suddenly stop taking disulfiram, unless advised by your health care professional to do so.
A reaction may occur up to 2 weeks after stopping the medication.
Do not take disulfiram within 12 hours of having had alcohol or any alcohol containing beverage.
Wear an identification bracelet/necklace with your contact information, name of your medication, identification of your condition and the details of your health care professional/person(s), in case of an emergency.
