Flonase Information
Flonase is a corticosteroid nasal spray.
Flonase (Fluticasone propionate) may also be described as a white to off – white powder that almost does not dissolve in water and is an aqueous suspension of Microfine.
Moreover, Flonase (Fluticasone propionate) freely dissolves in Dimethyl Sulfoxide, Dimethylformamide and partially dissolves in Methanol.
Further more, Flonase (Fluticasone propionate) practically dissolves in Ethanol.

Uses of Flonase
Fluticasone, a corticosteroid, nasal spray is used to treat itching, sneezing, congestion, and runny nose due to allergy and other causes.

How to use Flonase?
Take exactly as prescribed by your health care professional.
DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE if you are taking HIV protease inhibitors
DO NOT START OR STOP any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Use of this medicine in children under age 4 is not recommended. Discuss with your doctor the risks and benefits of giving FLUTICASONE to your child.

Side effects
Side effects that may occur while using FLUTICASONE medicine include :
changes or loss of your sense of taste or smell
nasal irritation or burning
a runny, or stuffy nose
headache
nausea
vomiting
If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor.
If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.

Interaction
Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.
Inform your doctor about any other medication you may be taking in any other form.

Flonase overdose
In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Notes
ALWAYS HAVE A SPARE INHALER available in case the unit malfunctions or is empty.
Contact your doctor immediately if you experience blurred vision or unusual vision changes.
If you have not had chickenpox or measles, avoid contact with anyone who has any of these diseases.
Corticosteroid medicines may affect growth rate in children and adolescents in some instances. Your child’s growth should be checked regularly by the doctor while using this medicine.

DO NOT use 2 doses at once to make up for a missed dose.

Flonase - precaution
If you conceive whilst on a course with this medication inform your doctor immediately.
If you need to undergo any kind of surgery, inform your doctor you are taking this medicine.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to conceive.
Avoid alcohol and alcohol containing beverages whilst on a course with this medication.
Do not treat yourself with OTC medication whilst on a course with this medication, without consulting with your health care professional.
