Inform your doctor if you have/have ever had liver disease.
Ketoconazole may cause liver damage. Inform your doctor if you drink alcohol in large or small amounts. Inform your doctor about any and all medication you maybe taking in any form.
Do Not Take Cisapride, Terfenadine or Astemizole whilst on a course with this medication.

Ketoconazole, an imidazole, is a broad spectrum anti fungal.

How to use
Contact your paediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children.
Take ketoconazole as directed by your health care professional.

Side effects
If you notice any of the symptoms listed below or any other symptoms which seem severe/persistent contact your doctor immediately.
yellowing of eyes/skin
vomiting
stomach pain
skin rash
sexual difficulties (impotence - in men)
redness/blistering/peeling/loosening of the skin (including inside the mouth)
nausea
loss of appetite
itching
increased sensitivity to light (eyes)
drowsiness/dizziness
dark yellow/brown urine
breast swelling and/or tenderness

Interaction
Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.

rifampin
quinidine
pioglitazone
pimozide
phenytoin
paricalcitol
other fungal/yeast infection medication
methysergide
medication for stomach ulcers and/or other stomach problem(s)
medication for sleeping difficulty
medication for parkinson's disease/gastrointestinal problems
medication for lowering cholesterol
medication for anxiety or difficulty sleeping
isoniazid
hormones (like prednisone or cortisone)
ergotamine
doxercalciferol
dofetilide
dihydroergotamine
didanosine (ddi)
cyclosporine
cisapride
bosentan
astemizole
antacids
alcohol
Inform your doctor about any other medication you may be taking in any other form.

Overdose
In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Missed Dose
Do not double doses to make up for a missed dose. Consult your health care professional about your missed dose.

Storage
Store at room temperature between 59-86 degrees F / 15- 30 degrees C, away from heat and moisture.

Precaution
If you conceive whilst on a course with this medication inform your doctor immediately.
If you need to undergo any kind of surgery, inform your doctor you are taking this medicine.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to conceive.
Avoid alcohol and alcohol containing beverages whilst on a course with this medication.
Do not treat yourself with OTC medication whilst on a course with this medication, without consulting with your health care professional.
