Uses
Levonorgestrel, a progestin, is used to prevent pregnancy after known or suspected contraceptive failure or unprotected intercourse.

How to use
The first dose of progestin should be taken as soon as possible within 72 hours of having unprotected sex.
The second dose should be taken 12 hours later.
Take exactly as prescribed by your health care professional.
Contact your paediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children.

If you notice any of the symptoms listed below or any other symptoms which seem severe/persistent contact your doctor immediately.

Overdose
In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Missed Dose
If you miss a dose of an emergency contraceptive prescription, or vomit the dose within an hour of taking it, you MUST contact your health care professional for instructions.

Storage
Store at room temperature between 59-86 degrees F / 15- 30 degrees C, away from heat and moisture.

Precaution
Taking contraceptive pills does not protect you against HIV infection (AIDS) or any other sexually transmitted diseases.
This medicine may affect your blood sugar. Check blood sugar levels closely and ask your doctor before adjusting the dose of your diabetes medicine.
