How to use Triphasil?
If you need to have any type of medical tests or surgery, or if you will be on bed rest, you may need to stop using this medication for a short time.
Take Triphasil exactly as it was prescribed for you.

Side effects of Triphasil
If you notice any of the symptoms listed below or any other symptoms which seem severe/persistent contact your doctor immediately.
weakness/numbness in the arms or legs(especially on one side of the body)
sudden shortness of breath
vision/speech problems
rapid weight gain
stomach pain (severe)
chest pain
leg/arm/groin pain
coughing up blood
dizziness or fainting spells
severe/sudden headaches
swelling of the hands, feet or ankles,
sudden loss of coordination(especially on one side of the body)

Overdose of Triphasil
In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

If you conceive whilst on a course with this medication inform your doctor immediately.
If you need to undergo any kind of surgery, inform your doctor you are taking this medicine.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to conceive.

Missed Dose of Triphasil
Do not double doses to make up for a missed dose.

Store at room temperature between 59-86 degrees F / 15- 30 degrees C, away from heat and moisture.

Triphasil Precaution
Severe side effects are relatively rare in women who are healthy and do not smoke while they are taking oral contraceptives.
Do not use Triphasil if you have:
varicose veins
uterine fibroid tumors
tuberculosis
severe migraine headaches
severe high blood pressure
seizures or epilepsy
liver disease or liver cancer
high blood pressure, heart disease, congestive heart failure, angina (chest pain), or a high cholesterol or if you are overweight
gallbladder disease
diabetes
circulation problems (especially if caused by diabetes)
abnormal vaginal bleeding
a hormone-related cancer such as breast or uterine cancer
a history of jaundice caused by birth control pills
a history of irregular menstrual cycles
a history of fibrocystic breast disease, lumps, nodules, or an abnormal mammogram
a history of depression
a history of a stroke or blood clot
a heart valve disorder
