Dicyclomine, an anticholinergic, treats different bowel problems including irritable bowel syndrome.
Dicyclomine is believed to be effective in reducing spasm of the bowel.

How to use
Dicyclomine is best taken on an empty stomach, 30 minutes to 1 hour before meals.
Take exactly as prescribed by your health care professional.
Contact your paediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children.

Side effects
Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:
difficulty urinating
gas or bloating
loss of appetite
upset stomach
stomach pain
blurred vision
double vision
constipation
drowsiness
dizziness
dry mouth
headache
tingling
vomiting
weakness
Dicyclomine may cause other side effects. Call your doctor if you have any unusual problems while taking this medication.

Overdose
In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Notes
Avoid alcohol and alcohol containing beverages whilst on a course with this medication.

Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.

Storage
Store at room temperature below 30 degrees C (86 degrees F). Protect from light. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.

Precaution
If you conceive whilst on a course with this medication inform your doctor immediately.
If you need to undergo any kind of surgery, inform your doctor you are taking this medicine.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to conceive.
Antacids can stop dicyclomine from working, consult your health care professional before taking the same.
Avoid extreme heat.
