Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor is used to treat ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease, erosive esophagitis, or Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

How to use
Take pantoprazole exactly as directed.

If you notice any of the symptoms listed below or any other symptoms which seem severe/persistent contact your doctor immediately.

Interaction
Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.
iron
ampicillins
voriconazole
clarithromycin
anticoagulants
azole antifungals
hiv protease inhibitors
Inform your doctor about any other medication you may be taking in any other form.

Overdose
In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Notes
If you conceive whilst on a course with this medication inform your doctor immediately.
If you need to undergo any kind of surgery, inform your doctor you are taking this medicine.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to conceive.
Do not treat yourself with OTC medication whilst on a course with this medication, without consulting with your health care professional.
If you are on any special diet, inform your health care professional.

Missed Dose
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

Precaution
Inform your health care professional if you have low blood zinc levels.
Contact your doctor if you have any symptoms of a bleeding ulcer, such as:
if you experience throat pain/chest pain/severe stomach pain
vomit that looks like coffee grounds
have trouble swallowing
black tarry stools
