Uses
Nelfinavir, a protease inhibitor, is used in combination with other drugs, such as zidovudine, to treat HIV infections in patients with or without AIDS.

Interaction
Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.

amiodarone
astemizole
cisapride
midazolam
pimozide
quinidine
rifampin
triazolam
quinazoline
terfenadine
eletriptan (within the past 72 hours)
Inform your doctor about any other medication you may be taking in any other form.

Overdose
In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Notes
If you have hemophilia, high blood sugar, or liver problems, inform your health care professional.
Nelfinavir is not a cure.
It does not prevent the spread of HIV infection to other people, so use precautions to avoid the spread of this infection.

Missed Dose
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
