Minoxidil is a vasolidator that promotes hair regrowth in patients who are experiencing gradually thinning hair or gradual hair loss on the top of the head.

How to use
Use as directed by your health care professional/pharmacist.
Consult a paediatrician for the use of this medicine in children.
This is a topical solution.
Shampooing of hair prior to each application is not necessary.

Side effects
If you notice any of the symptoms listed below or any other symptoms which seem severe/persistent contact your doctor immediately.
irritation at the application site
itching at the application site
swelling of feet/legs
skin rash/itching
fainting spells
palpitations
blisters
dizziness
headache
chest pain
unusual weakness
stiff/swollen joints
irregular heartbeat
sudden weight gain
difficulty breathing
redness at the application site
unusual hair growth on face/arm/back

Interaction
Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.
Any other scalp or hair medication
Inform your doctor about any other medication you may be taking in any other form.

Overdose
In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Inform your doctor if you have or have ever had :
sunburned skin
previous heart attack
pheochromocytoma
lung disease
kidney disease
heart disease
damaged skin
blood vessel disease
angina
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to conceive.
If you conceive whilst on a course with this medication inform your doctor immediately.
If you need to undergo any kind of surgery, inform your doctor you are taking this medicine.

Missed Dose
Do not double applications to make up for a missed application.

Storage
Store at room temperature between 59-86 degrees F / 15- 30 degrees C, away from heat and moisture.

Do not treat yourself with OTC medication whilst on a course with this medication, without consulting with your health care professional.
