Descriptions
Do not take telmisartan if you are pregnant.
Telmisartan may harm the fetus.
If you become pregnant while taking telmisartan, call your doctor immediately. -
Uses
Telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, is used to treat high blood pressure.

How to use
Take telmisartan exactly as directed.

Side effects
Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:
swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, eyes, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs
difficulty breathing/swallowing
runny nose
hoarseness
sore throat
sinus pain
fainting
diarrhea
back pain
Call your doctor if you have any unusual problems while taking this medication. -
Interaction
Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.
blood pressure medications
digoxin
hawthorn
lithium
potassium salts
potassium supplements
warfarin
water pills (potassium-sparing diuretics like triamterene or amiloride)
Inform your doctor about any other medication you may be taking in any other form. -
Overdose
In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911. -
Notes
If you conceive whilst on a course with this medication inform your doctor immediately.
If you need to undergo any kind of surgery, inform your doctor you are taking this medicine.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to conceive. -
Missed Dose
Do not take double or extra dose to make up for a missed dose.
