Side effects
If you notice any of the symptoms listed below or any other symptoms which seem severe/persistent contact your doctor immediately.
seizures
severe stomach pain, cramping, bloody diarrhea
tingling/pain/ numbness in the face, hands or feet
unusual reactions/swelling of the skin, eyelids, face, or lips
shortness of breath/wheezing
irregular (fast/slow) heart beat
increased/decreased blood pressure
difficulty breathing
chest/throat pain or tightness
loss of vision
vision changes

Interaction
Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.
MAOIs - do not take rizatriptan within 2 weeks of stopping MAOI therapy.
ergotamine - do not take within 24 hours of taking rizatriptan
dihydroergotamine - do not take within 24 hours of taking rizatriptan
ergoloid mesylates - do not take within 24 hours of taking rizatriptan
ergot-type medication - do not take within 24 hours of taking rizatriptan
cocaine
amphetamine
feverfew
tryptophan
propranolol
dextroamphetamine
methysergide - do not take within 24 hours of taking rizatriptan
other migraine medicines - do not take within 24 hours of taking rizatriptan
medicines for mental depression/anxiety/mood problems
Inform your doctor about any other medication you may be taking in any other form.

Overdose
In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Notes
Inform your doctor if you have or have ever had :
history of stroke, transient ischemic attacks (TIAs or mini-strokes), or intracranial bleeding
high blood pressure
kidney/liver disease
high cholesterol
Raynaud's disease
bowel disease
colitis
diabetes
overweight
poor circulation
seizure disorder
fast/irregular heart beat
heart/blood vessel disease
angina/previous heart attack
family history of heart disease
postmenopausal/surgical removal of uterus and ovaries

Missed Dose
Do not double doses to make up for a missed dose. Consult your health care professional about your missed dose.

Storage
Store at room temperature between 15-30 degrees C / 59-86 degrees F, away from heat and moisture.

Precaution
If you conceive whilst on a course with this medication inform your doctor immediately.
If you need to undergo any kind of surgery, inform your doctor you are taking this medicine.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to conceive.
Avoid alcohol and alcohol containing beverages whilst on a course with this medication.
