Uses
Amitraz, a mono-amine oxidase inhibitor is used to treat generalized demodectic mange in dogs, by veterinarians.

How to use
Keep out of reach of children.
The animal should be stress free for at least 24 hours after treatment.
Please consult the veterinarian for instructions on how to use and follow as advised.
In severe cases of infestation a second treatment is recommended 7-10 days after the first.

Side effects
Side effects that may occur :
short term sleepiness (in treated animals)
skin rash/other skin irritation
increased urination
personality change
increased appetite
hyper excitability
convulsions
vomiting
diarrhea
edema
itching

Interaction
Inform the veterinarian if your pet(s) is on taking MAOIs medication or is consult the veterinarian before you start treatment with this medicine.

Overdose
In the event of an overdose, contact the veterinarian or the veterinary emergency room.

Notes
Amitraz Dip Concentrate (25 ml bottle) contains 50mg/ml (Vet) - For Use in Dogs only.
Amitraz Dip Concentrate 12.5 % (6ml bottle) contains 12.5% / ml - For Use in Dogs and Cats.
Please consult the veterinarian for further information before use.
Complete coat clipping is recommended for maximum contact with this medicine dip.

Storage
Store in a cool dry place, away from heat, moisture, food. Protect from frost.

Precaution
People who are on a course of medication with MAOIs or are diabetic could have a bad reaction to the use of amitraz if they personally the administer dips to pets.
Amitraz should not be used on dogs that are pregnant, nursing or are very young/small.
